Ceremony capacity (drinks reception): 250-500 guests

Guests can have exclusive access to the Castle’s highlights including the Great Hall, the Royal Apartments, the Castle Vaults and the Scottish Crown Jewels.

Dinner capacity: 120 guests

Reception capacity: 170 guests

Theatre capacity: 120 guests

This majestic venue in Crown Square is available in the evening for banqueting. Pre-dinner drinks can be held in the courtyard. Or, the whole building can be used for cocktail parties. Jacobite Room

Dinner capacity: 100 guests

Reception capacity: 190 guests

A contemporary, flexible venue for events and dinners. Guests can enjoy an aperitif in the adjoining Redcoat Room. Both rooms can be used together for a buffet or reception. Jacobite Room hire offers superb views over Edinburgh, an exclusive viewing of the Scottish Crown Jewels, and the finest Scottish cuisine and entertainment. Gatehouse suite

Dinner capacity: 22 guests

Reception capacity: 35 guests

Meetings and seminars can be held in the intimate setting of these 19th-century rooms at the castle entrance. Available to hire day and evening, this venue is a popular choice for small dinners, receptions and other special events.
