Welcome to the Tea Rooms at Edinburgh Castle where you can indulge yourself or treat a loved one to an afternoon tea experience.
Our Tea Room is located in the heart of the castle, Crown Square. The interior of the tea room has been painted with bright light colours, giving it a stylish yet elegant touch, which complements the grandeur of the castle. Savour the exquisite food and drink on offer as the echoes of the past whisper through the castle walls, creating the perfect setting to relax and enjoy our afternoon tea.
Afternoon Tea Experience Packages
Our Afternoon Tea packages include castle entry. For that added special treat there's the option to add a glass of La Garde Écossaise Champagne.
- Adult (non-member) £70.00 or £80 with La Garde Écossaise Champagne. Child £35.00
- Member Adult £45.00 or £54.00 with La Garde Écossaise Champagne. Child £22.50
Afternoon Tea Experience
This ticket excludes castle entry, A castle entry ticket is required and must be booked separately. Perfect for English Heritage, Manx and Cadw, Historic Scotland Explorer Pass, Young Scot, Guided Tour or Flexi ticket holders who have booked entry to the castle separately.
Price: £50.00 (child £25.00) or £60.00 with a glass of La Garde Écossaise Champagne.
Please note, alcohol cannot be served before 1pm on a Sunday.

Begin their afternoon tea journey with a majestic invitation, beautifully presented in our signature red gift pack adorned with golden detailing of the iconic castle perched on Castle Rock.
Inside they will find a royal invitation to indulge in a delicious afternoon tea featuring sumptuous savouries and delicious delicacies in our beautiful Queen Anne Tea Rooms. You can choose to include a glass of Champagne with your gift.
Each invitation includes easy booking instructions and can be customised to include your own heartfelt message.
Vouchers are valid for six months from the date of purchase.

Each Afternoon Tea stand includes a selection of freshly made savouries, homemade sweet treats and a selection of teas. Option to include a glass of Champagne.
Castle admission and afternoon tea must be pre-booked at least 48 hours in advance. To book please email ticketing@hes.scot or call +44 (0)131 668 8831 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm), quoting your gift voucher number. You will then receive your Edinburgh Castle admission and Afternoon tea tickets.
